So my braces got removed! The first thing that greeted me was the woozzzy smell of 2 years olds of dental plague around the braces region. Mind you is one thick lump la! So no hard food, no sticky food (my choc?) for the next few weeks till I get my retainer or else the teeth sure goona gives way! Guess I ‘d to get 2 bowl of soup now to what else but liquefy my food. @__@
Sometime I wished that the braces never got removed, LOL! I don’t know why. ..

Here as amour spec, my hands un’doubly will be full of grease from those dang big $%@#$#@% weapons!!! Wearing/taking off retainer in between meals will be problematic! @__@ haiuZZ

Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea

So the greatest living animator, Hayao Miyazaki has yet come up with another heart-felt film-Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea.



He touches his usual theme on ‘man vs nature’, about how man polluting the environment and that the nature decide to ‘fight’ back. Unlike Nausicaa, Princess mononoke, where the atmosphere is more intense and deep, this film is more light-hearted/child-like yet can be understood by all ages!

I guess the film focuses more on the nature-innocent being of being just a child, which is fully depicted on 5 years old –Sosuke. He rescued Ponyo (a little mermaid, which I initially thought was plankton or something); he was worried in tears that the little thing is dying soon. Such is the concern of a little boy for a little thing.

Sosuke said something really touching, ‘no matter what form Ponyo is in, be it the mermaid form, half-human form or full human, he will still love her!’ that coming out from a little boy was again, WOW!

Anyway, the film is about how Sosuke rescued this little mermaid whom in turn fall for him and having the desire to become human which unfortunately unrevealed some tsunami and about the overcoming of the catastrophe.

Like Mel had picked up, the art-form is really child-like to the max, crayon-like figure, it seems more ‘approachable, touchable’ than the normal computerized one, though this film uses computer too.

Oh yea the theme song is darn-cute la!!! Yet again Miyazaki collaborated with Joe Hisaishi in the music-play; which without doubt bring the film to life!

If you are a fan of Studio Ghibli, be sure to catch it, if you haven’t!

X'mas wiZTh litlle sIS

Last night; I decided to get out of house to get some presents (with initial thought of wanting to get out cux is really suck-Y to laid back at home on X’mas!!!)

My little Sis decided to tag along!!! Orchard? [Too congested], Bugis? [too many xiao hun-hun], Chinatown? [Halo its X’mas nt new Yr], that we finally decided just head down the purple line to Vivo. @__@


Browse through many gifts shops; my little sis point out something irritating about me; whenever we were about to get out from 1, something will sure caught my attention leaving me anchored there and starred/touch (involved 5 senses] it. so she will be walking out, notice me not around; turn around giving those ‘chicken pose’ (u know bending your 2 arms with your fists touching your waist), fuming! It happened like 3 times? LOL!!!

In the midst of crazy-stunts, I recalled about the initial plan to get a gift! GeeZ!! By then most of the stores were closed, but luckily Candy Empire was still open (the place we set foot initially!), so got all those random al’carte chocs, with this gift bag and ta-da!!! @___@.

Oh yea bush bush was right about the miniature kinder burneo (those in sweet wrapper type), really made your high to the max la!!! But there’s no much after-taste, so intense yet not long-lasting. . .

So how does Kai spend his Christmas Eve? He joined his 3 kakis who knew each other for 7+ years, for dinner at Aston for some beefy steaks, followed by grabbing some sushi, drinks for game of Risk (u know that board game) @ my house. Guess this was the 4th time this year! LOL!!!

So we played through the night, till my clock struck and my dog bark, and a toasting of some sparkling juice, with me having the honor of popping the cork of the bottle out my 23rd story floor; did it hit anyone?


I’d always'd this thought since 2006, that Christmas Eve or Christmas day itself should be spend with someone dearly like, your partner; should be romantic and is really pathetic to spend with frens, but I guess spending with close pals, simple as it is yet is heart-warming enough to see through the festive. =]

As amour spec, everything I’d last seen at Sispec , from vehicles to weapons were petite to the max. We were introduced to 3 new weapons for the last 2 weeks; with GPMG (biggest weapon in infantry) to the recent 40 AGL (3 times the weight!, 33kg). I guess that the only pride we have being an amour spec. . .

Physical training gets tougher each day and wonder if my knee could take it or not. . .
Oh yea! Next week from wed to sun, I’ll be off!!! Wonder what to do those few days? (still haven't go to Escape theme park, dont know since when i last said i want to go there, lol) And my braces gonna get remove next sat tentatively, excited!

Guess things will get sour midst of my bunk mates. This guy who supposedly had his guard duty today was on medical leave; thus naturally his bed buddy will stand by for him. His buddy had his duty this week, thus was unfair for him to do so, but he’d no choice.

Just yesterday, he rang me up while I was catching ‘Boltz’ (geez of all time), saying ‘I’d sore eyes could you stand in for me?’

I was baffled! Then I replied ‘I need to go CGH’ via msg*sound as if, I cooked up some story? Just check up my previous post*

Thereafter was a serious of persuasion and stuff . . . of which I didn’t know the end result. Cux someone just had to do it. . .but what I can confirm will be a sense of awkwardness, silence when I book in later the day. Just hope for the better.

Speaking of CGH, the Dr. just touch my knee for <10secs and concluded there nothing wrong with my knee! God, I know on the surface is ok, but the inside isn’t! waited 2 hr for <1min examination (I understand that they prioritize time for more serious cases one, that they had to rush and stuff, but…

Guess tomorrow knock the door of Gedong’s MO’s orthopedic.. .

How the movie ‘Boltz’? Surface, recyclable yet touching themes like friendship, sacrifice and family are shown. There more to it. like the finding of one’s identity, when Boltz embark a journey leading him to find his true self (though the initial plan was to find his owner). Boltz who believed he had this super power, behave differently, out of ‘social norm’ of which the cat picked it up and said something like [a dog should behave like a dog] i.e. to say return a throw stick . . . so this bring up to 1 thing, should we do thing what the majority think is normal (of which Mel always bring it up), neglecting individual uniqueness? Bababababa, making a light-hearted movie so serious, LOL! But the theme of ‘growing up’ is more avid, seeing young Boltz growing up….anyway I still didn’t found the movie 3D even though is #D form @___@

F@#$#@%k! Since BMTC I had spend >90% of my pay!!! I didn’t splurge on clothes, shoes, bags but I did spend tons on FOOD, with supplements follow thereafter (roughly 100/mth), Supplements? Yes had been spending on ‘joint’ food from glucosamine to shark cartilage to fish oil, but it still didn’t seems to help much, @__@. The training at ATI just worsen the condition, jumping down from tank every now and then, circuit training and stuff .. .

So instead I decided to pay a visit tomorrow at Changi Hospital to have them examine, haiz. . ..

Anyway, I decided to control my spending by first: stop taking taxi back home from camp. . .

So I finally catch up with my poly frens after 5 months of army life @ this SIAM restaurant. Since all the guys had enter army so it’s no surprise that the talks revolve round army and more army. . lots of them change physically, those boney one are more buffs up, while those meaty one slim down. . . @___@ with sc being the most obvious! After which chilled at starbucks before I called it a day. . .
